Just tell her. She knows that cheerleading is not the main priority in anyone's life and is there for fun. Most likely, she'll be happy with your mature decisions and that you know self-control.

Tell your coach the truth. She will understand. I'm sure she will respect the fact that you are obviously responsible enough to do what is really important in this life.

She realizes cheer leading is fun and all, but she also realizes that having good grades is what will get you somewhere in this life. Getting a job and learning that responsibility is also something to prepare you for the real world outside of school.

She will surely be proud of the mature decisions you are making for yourself.

As for what you need to give her? Not sure. Take everything with you, and ask her what belongs to you and what items you rented from the school.

Say, "I'm leaving the squad. You've been a good coach, and this is fun, but my priorities have changed."

Why would you have to give her anything? Your uniform is yours, why would you give it up?

Personally, I think that it is selfish of you to quit in the middle of the year. You signed up for this, and you should finish out the year.

First tell her what you said in your question that you are getting a job soon and your grades are slipping. give her all the cheerleading things that aren't yours and probally a note from your parents saying they know you're quitting. hope this helps sorry if it doesn't
