sims 2

Question Posted Thursday December 28 2006, 7:57 pm

The sims 2 is incredibly slow on my computer and also choppy. I really want to play it but I can't because it's that slow. Is there anyway I can make it more enjoyable to play by making it faster and less choppy when moving around?

Same problem here. I even got more RAM and it didn't help.
I had to go buy a new graphics card. It was stupid but totally worth it for the month I was still interested in the game.
Actually, you kinda made me want to plain it again now :x

Close any other programs that are running.
Make sure your computer's free of viruses, spyware, and all that other good stuff.

You might just need more RAM. Check how much your computer has. Ideally, you should have at least 512MB. Sims, even more is better. YOu can buy RAM cards relatively cheaply. But, if you don;t know what you're doing messing around with the insides of a computer, take it to your local computer shop, or BestBuy/CircuitCity instead of trying to install one yourself.

I'd say to try deleting all lots, even neighborhoods you don't want or don't use. This really improved my game. Also, dont' download too much custom content, and delete any you don't use.

If thisdosen't work, I'd say to try getting a new graphics card. =)

Sorry to say, I had this problem too, and I needed to buy a new graphics card.

Lucky for me, my brother's a computer whiz so he got the one perfect for my computer.

If I knew where he was, I`d ask him to help me on this. Sorry :[

But yeah, that`s what you need. A new graphics card.

These can range from $80-$600.

Good luck, hope I helped.

make sure the quality is set to lowest.

it's slow on my computer too which sucks.

I think it's just how crappy they made the game.
