Totally agree with using tampons.
But also, next time you see blood,
1. take breaths and think of something totally random.
or
2.call a friend. Friends are usually good at getting one's mind off of the pains of life.
or
3. Exercise It makes you feel so much better about yourself Even if it's just like a 15 minute walk.
or
4. (my favorite!) get a really calming song or even a really crazy song that you can listen to you to get your mind off of the blood

Good luck.
Ughhhh...why don't guys have to deal with these kinds of problems?

I would suggest speaking with your doctor to see if there is anything they can suggest, but if not then you could always try talking to your mum if you havent already to see if she can suggest anything before you seek medical suggestions. :-D

I used to have that problem.
I eventually got over it..
But I would use an ultra-super tampon on your really heavy days and just have a ultra thin pad (for backup).
That way you won't have to see and blood at school and just change it right when you get home.

Good luck

Daimeera answered Thursday December 28 2006, 6:17 pm:
Honestly, a therapist might be your best bet. He or she can work with you to gradually desensitize you in a safe, controlled environment to the point where you can deal with blood.

If you can't afford a therapist, or choose not to go, I'd still try to desensitize yourself. Depending on how much it bothers you, you might do something like take a red marker or something with red ink, and draw on a fresh pad or tampon. Or watch a cartoon with simulated blood, and then move onto something like Law & Order. Try not to rush it--too bad you can't delay your period.

Sorry I can't be more help. I hope things work out for you.

umm the only thing i would say is use tampons cause then you dont have to see the blood, then just dont look when your changing it. Tell you mom and she is she can help you.
