what makes someone classy
what do you think makes someone classy, sophisticated, or elegant?
what about their apperance or attitude makes them seem that way?
i want to be classy.
im talking jennifer aniston/kelly rowan classy.

I'm sorry to say but I'd have to
disagree with teenagedramaqueen's opinion.
In my opinion, classy is a personality
as well as an appearence. Posing nude for
the camera and smoking isn't considered
classy to say the least. Thats why I don't
believe Marilyn Monroe nor Audrey Hepburn
were classic role models. (Yes style role models though)
(Attitude)
To be classy is being polite and sweet.
Classy people do not talk badly about others
and they remain calm in harsh situations.
Also, they are soft-spoken and are rarely
extremley hyper. They smile alot and compliment
often without sucking up. Classy girls should
know rules of etiquette and how to behave.
Most classy women do not smoke, curse,
excessivley drink nor cause trouble. Apologize
when a mistake is made and always have
good manners (please&thankyou) Also, PDA
is a big no-no when striving to be classy.
You may kiss and such with your partner
but keep it between the two of you.
(Appearence)
Classy women stay in style but also
dress simple. Such as a fancy casual
(nice black pants, not too revealing top,
elegant jewlrey, matching shoes)
Casual dresses and handbags are also
elegant. Classy women don't over-do
it on make up. Natural is always better
in this case. So stick with
nude/pale colors that enhance your
features without darkening your face.
Mascara and light eyeliner is okay, as
well as lipstick/gloss, blush, and foundation.
But do not pile up the eyeliner and dark
eyeshadow. Nice jewlrey (diamonds, pearls)
are classy as well. Slim/slender is
also better in the classy case, as
well as good-fitting clothing. Make sure
you always look well prepared like
getting your eyebrows and nails done
regularly.

First of all, I LOVE this question! Not to generalize, but people this day and age, for the most part, are anything but classy. Sometimes I wish we could just go back to the 40s and 50s where class was in style.
However, when I think of "classy", I think more of your behavior/personality, and "classic" as being more of an appearance, like Jackie Onassis or Audrey Hepburn.
So I'll give my opinion on how to be both. :)
To be classy, you have to be poised, lady-like, respectful, polite, put-together, and modest. Think the First Lady or your great-grandmother. :) Being classy is NOT promiscuity, drinking, smoking, or cursing.
But as far as appearance is concerned, when I think of someone as having a classic style, I think of modest clothing that is simple but feminine-- hair neatly done, pearls, black skirts/dresses, heels, that sort of thing. But I don't think you have to generalize it as just that. Anything that is timeless and not overly trendy is classic.

well im sure jennifer & kelly are classy but the reallll classy elegant people i look up to are like marilyn monroe & audrey hepburn. they always look gorgeous always dressed up in pearls and hairs never out of place with a killer outfit on.also they are very soft spoken rate your voice 10- being a scream and 1- being a whisper. you might want to be somewhere in the 4-5 range a very light voice also this helps when talking to guys they will lean in more to hear you. speaking of boys

if you dont want guys spreading rumors you should follow those rules. i would say to just get "involved" when you KNOW for sure not within the first couple months of dating. never talk trash about people or curse in public. also you might want to perfect your english dont say things like YO or YEAH say exscuse me or hello and always say please and thank you :] hope i helped

The people I know that I consider classy are:
Genuine when they say something they really mean it.
They don't trash others no mater what they may be thinking.
They have the ability of choosing perfect hair styles, makeup and clothing.
They are beautiful because of their actions not their genetics.
They always give the perfect gift and show up to just say "Hi" when you feel like everyone else is to busy.
Class in and of itself is not something that you can just come by or purchase. It takes effort and sincerity.
