Ever since I knew you
My heart sings a new tune:
One of love.
Every time you come around,
I bubble with joy;
As happy as a _______.
You give me pleasure unknown before,
Each day I beg for more;
Without you, my heart is empty;
ever day seems dull.
I can't pay you for the joy you give;
But I know you
You are the reason to live.
please help! it has to be rhyme with joy
thanks a lot =]]

There aren't a lot of words that rhyme with joy. I racked my brain and could come up with nothing more than "beloved toy", such as a child's favorite plaything. The reason that came to mind is because I perceive a favorite toy to be a very happy toy.
However, didn't sound like it would be quite what you are looking for, so i searched a rhyming dictionary online.
The best I could come up with from that would be "playboy," which is "a man who lives a life devoted chiefly to the pursuit of pleasure."
Other than that, the only other thing I could think of to do was to look up "joy" in the thesaurus. Two similar words would be "happiness" (which would be repetitive in that part of your poem) or "delight."
Not saying you should change your poem- it should be in your words. But just giving you a different twist on it. Something such as:
Every time you come around,
I bubble with delight;
As happy as a bird in flight.
But I think if you change "joy" to "delight" on my suggestion, you should choose your own word to rhyme with it. That way you keep your own. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
