if you scratch a certain area, is it true that it stretches our your skin & gives you stretch marks? my mom claims that it does. also, is there a way to avoid them? i'm like TERRIFIED to get them on my arms and the backs of my legs. thank you <3
MissMabry answered Tuesday December 26 2006, 1:01 am: No, this does not cause stretch marks, just irritated skin cells, which are usually temporary unless scratching is a constant thing. Stretch marks are caused by literal stretching of the skin, such as birth or an imediate growth spurt. Don't worry, its alright, but i still wouldn't scratch!
-Hope i've helped

The only way you can get stretch marks is by your bones growning faster then your skin and then gaining to much weight in an area. Alot of people have them whether they`re overweight or not. Avoid them by working out in those specific areas and not eating bad foods. If you ever get them, you can use cocoa butter which minimizes them and fades them. :) ♥ [ xostarbrightbaby's advice column | Ask xostarbrightbaby A Question ]

There's absolutely no way to avoid them or to get rid of them. They occur naturally. If you want, you can help prevent them, or make them less noticable. By using any cream with Cocoa Butter in it. =] [ AMYGWENDOLiNExO's advice column | Ask AMYGWENDOLiNExO A Question ]
