i really like the phone, but my dad said if i want i could get the sidekick 3.
im really undecided because the sidekick 3 is really cool, my friends have it and i'm in love. it's also huge which is a downside because it's hard to carry. my phone is big enough, and i'm not sure if i want anything bigger.
i hear that t-mobile is a bad service. but is that true and why?
i need the downsides and ups for the side kick 3.
so if you had to choose between the...
[x] sidekick 3
or
[x]the verizon LG VX9800
which one would you choose and why ?
this is a huge stressful decision for me so try to pursuade me with the goods and bads.
YoungP answered Monday January 8 2007, 2:17 pm: I gotta say its a big choice between both phones considering its functions and abilitys between both Verizon and T-Mobile but hands down i would say T-mobiles service with the Sidekick 3 is better...Why?? Because of the basic service plan of $39.99 with 300 minutes plus free nights and weekends and an added price of $20.00 for unlimited data service (Meaning txt, picture message, email, and internet)u wouldn't be paying an outraegous phone bill every month....But if your rich and dont care much about price plan Verizon would be the best for considering the basic plan for that company is $39.99 with 450 and free nights and weekends u would be spending ALOT more money with data service.
So hands down i would say get the LG series phone even tho it would be better to get the LG EnV since its a better upgrade to the LG Vx9800 but the Sidekick 3 (even without the Video capability). So if you like a FULL multimedia phone LG wins....But if your heavy txt da Sidekick 3 wins.....my choice was the sidekick 3 (even tho i have both) [ YoungP's advice column | Ask YoungP A Question ]

It takes good pictures and videos. It can hold music and vidoes and pictures from the computer. its opens up so texting is soo much easier and faster cause its basically has a keyborad. I would deffinatly get that one.

I have T-mobile. I can easily say that it's NOT a crappy service in the slightest. I mean, I live in a city [San Antonio] & I NEVER just don't have any bars. It's like I'm always able to talk on the phone & send text messages. So! On that level, it's an awesome service & you won't regret your decision about that. =] Depending on where you live might be the problem. I mean if you live in the middle of no where you may not get good service. But luckily on T-mobile.com it'll show you where you'll get service and where you won't. Look into that, because that's a big part of it. I mean you won't want to have a service where you can talk outside but not inside. =]
I would definitely go with the Sidekick. I've never seen the LG phone in my life. My friend has a juicy couture Sidekick, (the pink one) & I'm always messing around with it. I LOVE it.
It comes with a bunch of games already on the phone, like you don't even have to download them. & The camera is really awesome. I have a raZr & I'm totally jealous and wish I had the sidekick just because of the camera, the pictures turn out really good on the computer. :] You're right the phone is HUGE, compared to others, I don't know how big the LG phone is but if size will really bug you, then you should definitely go with the LG. I love big phones, so of course I would go w/ the sidekick, I would want to show it off. I think they're hot when people talk on them, not tacky like the person below me said!
duudee_advicer answered Monday December 25 2006, 6:44 pm: My brother has the LG Vx9800 and I love it, I use it all the time. He used to have the Sidekick until he got sick of having to carry something so large around like you said.
Also, he didn't get great service with T-Mobile, he could barely get service at our house. With Verizon, he found it much easier to get service.
He also complained about how tacky it looks actually TALKING on the phone with the Sidekick, which I do agree. Its fun for texting, but other then that .. its kinda weird.
The sound quality, overall quality, and picture quality were also better with the LG.
