most likely because it wasn't soaked very much. trying to remove dry cotton from your "area" isn't the nicest feeling in the world :P also, i could be because it just didn't sit totally properly in your vagina and when you pulled it out, it just felt a little weird on your vaginal walls.
hope i helped :) ]
Well it normally hurts the first time a girl uses a tampon. Your body isnt used to it so it hurts and is really uncomfortable for the first little while. You will get used to it i promise.
Hope i helped =] ]
Wearing tampons takes some time to get used to for certain people.
some things to think about:
**Did you just randomly practice putting one in while you weren't on your period? Or wasn't there much blood? If so, it was probably dry and dragging it out from your vagina is going to hurt..
**Were you on your period and was there lots of blood and it enlarged a lot causing pain when pulling it out?
**Was it inserted correctly?
Practice makes perfect. :) ]
It's possible that it wasn't fully used when you took out. If there wasn't a lot of blood and it and it was somewhat dry, it would hurt while coming out. Also, as the person below me mentioned, you might not have gotten it far enough in. If it's not far enough up, it's usually uncomfortable the whole time.

your not supposed to feel anything when inserting it, or removing it. are you sure you put it in far enough, or at the right angle?
look at the directions carefully on the box, and do exactly what it says. using a tampon isn't rocket science, but it is difficult the first few times, for every girl. :)
pads are nice, too. and a lot less to worry about. ]
