hair straightener

Question Posted Monday December 18 2006, 4:53 pm

I have a hair straightener that works okay.. but I asked my mom for a new one for Christmas and I was wondering which one would be better: Remington wet2straight, Helen of Troy (I think that's the name), or Conair Infiniti? Thanks! :)

My only opinion is to not get a wet to dry straigtener. This dries your hair out and is not worth the "time saved". Just go with a hot ceramic straigtener. Hope this helped.

For everyone who says the wet2straight is bad. its not. it works because it has whoel for the steam to come out of, so it DOESNT damage your hair. I'd recommend that. it works, and believe me i use it every day and my hair ISNT damaged at all.

do NOT get the wet2straight. it can damage your hair BIG time.

i recommend the helen of troy.
i've had mine for three years now, and it still works great. it's amazing.

i have really thick, wavy hair, and it straitens it perfectly.

so get that. :D

i wouldn't reccomend wet to straight, theres nothing worse then hot plates on wet hair. go for something with ceramic plates, and different levels of heat.

i would recomend wet2straight. i have that and it works like a charm. my hair is naturally curly and it will stay straight for the longest time.

Hrmm definitely do NOT get the wet to straight. I used to have that and my hair was very curly by the end of the day (it's naturally curly). The one I have now is a CHI and it works really well, but out of the ones you suggested I would go with the Conair Infiniti; I have a friend who likes it, and I've never heard of the Helen of Troy. Hope that helped!

well i have the wet to straight and have had it for about 1 year without breaking. My friend has the conair infiniti and it's amazing. she has very course, wavy, and puffy hair and you would think that it's just naturally straight. I haven't used helen of troy so your best bet would be the conair infiniti hope I helped! ;)

I have the Remington wet2straight, and the conair infiniti. that one was 50 when i bought it and it broke shortly after so i recommend the wet2straight. it works even better on dry hair..i dont recommend straightening it when its wet even though it says its okay, its bad for your hair. the one i have works pretty good its black and it was only 20 bucks. i forget the brand tho. well good luck
