my eye has been hurting for the last few days. Atfirst it felt like there was something in it, like an eyelash, but that feeling went away quickly. It's been red and it hurts to blink, everytime i do i feel a sudden headache on that side of my head. Also it's become swollen, so my eyelid is like twice the size as my other one! could i have popped a blood vessel, and what else could have caused it to feel like this? should i go to the doctor? and what can i do to make it feel better.
thanks sooo much any advice can help!

Go to an optician or see your GP for an accurate diagnosis. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
clarayow answered Monday December 18 2006, 1:38 pm: It could be conjunctivitis and it's contagious. I had it b4 and the blood vessels in ur eyes will look like they're reaching out to grab your pupil.
It could also be that you rubbed your eye too hard and ruptured a blood vessel. Gently use warm water to clean your eyes if it is itchy or irritating you. Go see a doctor. And don't rub it anymore. Don't worry, it's nothing serious. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]
