queenhearts answered Sunday December 17 2006, 3:50 pm: Well. It depends on the year. Most people in my freshman year, turned 15 that year. So if you're turing 16 in 2 months. I'll say 10th grade.
But if you were already in 9th grade before the new school, you shouldn't retake the whole year.

Your schools do it by birthday and age...by a certain month, it depends which grade you go in. For here in Colorado, your birthday must be before September 18th or so and you get in. If you aren't, then you have to wait a year. Ask your mom about that. Your going to turn 16 in two months...well, I'm thinking you will be in 10th grade because you'll be way to old if you were going to be going into 9th grade. I'm only 14 and I'm going into the 9th grade soon, so you'll be going into the 10th...time to drive! :) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
xx2momma2xx answered Sunday December 17 2006, 10:10 am: It will not depend only on your age, but also on your birth month. They may put you back in 9th grade but it all depends on the school. A good way to find out for sure is to have someone take you to the school, or get the number and call to ask them for sure what grade you will be in. If they do put you back in the same grade, it will suck because you already know a lot of what they are going to teach you, but it will also help you because since you already know it, you should do good. Either way, good luck, and I hope you like your new school. (It may be hard, but it will all work out. I went to 3 different schools in 3 different states between preschool and 5th grade. It was different, but I got used to it pretty quick.) [ xx2momma2xx's advice column | Ask xx2momma2xx A Question ]
