Question Posted Wednesday December 13 2006, 5:29 pm
I am best friends with this girl at my school. I tell her every thing! Whether it's necessary or not, I tell her. However, when I even try to tell her something, she is always getting interrupted by her friends. It bugs me!! I could be in the middle of telling her something important, and her friends will walk on by and change the subject, then afterwards she completely forgets we even talked! In some cases, she will even forget I am in her presence. She says her life is under stress, which I completely understand. I give her space when she needs it, I give her advice when she asks for it, and I support her in every thing! Also, she never tells me what is going on in her life though. We have been best friends for years, and she rather would tell someone she only known a week over me. The only way I can figure out what's going on is from eavesdropping (bad, I know!) and asking questions to her other friends. But when I talk to her, she never brings it up. She says she thought she told me, and she says that for all of her excuses. Some times she acts like she doesn't even know me well. I could sit there and cry and she'll assume I just 'had a bad day', and usually doesn't question it, unless she really sees something wrong. I really care for my best friend, but I am wondering if it's her fault, or if it's something else.. and what could I tell her??? I don't want to lose her, but I really want to change our friendship and to get it better.
Additional info, added Thursday December 14 2006, 12:57 pm: Please don't suggest me to go over her house, or try seeing her before/after school. Like I mentioned, her life is under stress, and what I didn't include was that she is never home. Sorry I didn't mention this in the question! I'll choose/reconsider a better rating for you if you answer the questions above.
