jergens face tanning/moisterizer

Question Posted Sunday December 10 2006, 10:56 am

i have the jergens face tanner stuff and i use it on my face every day. then i went to the website and read this:

How to apply Jergens® natural glow Daily Moisturizer – for your face

Apply to freshly cleansed face.

Smooth on evenly, blending into jawline and hairline, and avoiding eyebrows.

Rinse excess residue from palms, fingertips and around nails.

Allow several minutes for the product to dry and begin working before applying other facial products.

Jergens® natural glow FACE Daily Moisturizer is non-comedogenic, and is specifically designed for use on your face.

For best results, do not exfoliate face more than once a week.

the last sentence i don't understand. what does it mean? and can this product give me zits? thanks for answeringg.

okay don't panic your using it correctly. to make sure you fully understand the last line you must first know what an exfoliater is. it can be like a scrub or in a lotion form. but whatever form it is in it will have hard beads in it that scrub the dead skin cells off of your face.

jergens face tanner is NOT an exfoliater. what the last line means if you are using an exfoliater ALONG with the self tanner then only use that exfoliater ONCE a week instead of everyday with the tanner. if you used an exfoliater along with the tanner then it would scrub off the tanner along with the dead skin cells and the tanner wouldn't be work as well.

here is an example of an exfoliater:

i have this- it doesnt give you zits. it moisterizes your skin-which is good since its becoming dryer (winter time). it doesnt exfoliate,it would have said it on the bottle. and exfoliater is something you use once or twice a week to get the dead skin cells off of your skin.you should use jergins every day if you want to get tanner. hope i helped!

Exfoliating essentially means that you scrub off the top layer of dead skin with a product made for that purpose, usually one with small hard bits in it. It doesn't sound like what you're using is an exfoliating product (it would say so on the bottle if it was), so you should be fine.

As for giving you zits, it really depends on your skin.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the last sentence means to not use that on your face more than once a week.

And, as all products used on face (except for Anti-Acne products, lol), this can clog up your pours [SP?] and create pimples.

Hope I helped, and enjoy!
