I myself got my first period when I was eleven and am now 13 and am still skipping months and have a very irregular flow and schedule. It just depends on how fast you mature and everyone is different. I have gone more than three months without having my period and I got extremely worried, but it's just that I'm young and my period is crazy. Just give it time and it will come (if it already hasn't) or let it even out and become slightly more predictable. [ EllieGirl11's advice column | Ask EllieGirl11 A Question ]

I didn't get mine until I was 14 and my mom didn't get hers until she was 16. On the other end of the spectrum, I know a girl that got hers when she was 11! It will begin at a different time for every girl. Your friends don't know what they're talking about. Your "cherry" isn't going to bleed for more than a day and it's not going to bleed very much. I'm a little confused by your question, but I'm guessing that you haven't had a period since last year. That's very normal too. Most women don't have a regular period until they are in their 20's. Make sure your doctor knows about all of this though. Not having a period for a long time like this could be signaling a problem. Good luck. :)
