Why do women get their period at the same time as their families and friends for example? Such as when they are together a lot or live together. I'm so confused.

It could be coincidence, or there could be something specific that causes it. I think that its probably something in between. Many factors can influence your cycle. The people that are close to you are experiencing many of the same factors at the same times. Try not to worry about it too much. Like I said, there's no real answer yet. :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
SaraBean answered Tuesday December 5 2006, 10:16 pm: Alot of women get their period at the same time because of pheramone. pherarmones can be picked up by other woman without them even knowing about it, through your sence of smell. Usually pheramones are detected by the opposite sex, usually picked up to highthen sexuality in men and women. My roomates and I all had different periods before we moved in together...then...a couple months in, were all sitting on the couch balling over a chick flick eating ice-cream and the bathrooms out of pads. We all picked up on each others pheramones and now we are all frequent with each other. I hope that I helped...and if you have anymore questions, dont be afraid to ask!! XSugarPieX77 answered Tuesday December 5 2006, 8:31 pm: Usually families have periods around the same time because of genetics pretty much. Like, me, me and my sisters and my mom all have our period around the same time. But, its also because we were all born in the end of a month, so thats how our cycle works. Its usually very common, it doesnt have to do with living together, most girls/women have the same cycle as their amediate family. Hope i Helped!
