PLEASE do not listen to the girl below who said to just go get one and sneak it in. That always ends terribly. It very rarely happens like it does in the movies
("meow"
"what was that?"
"oh, this kitten i irresponsibly snuck into your home against your rules weeks ago because I am a spoiled rich bitch and want a kitten because it is OMGSOKYOOT and will probably dump when it turn uncute"
"aww you're right, it's precious! let's give it some milk in a china saucer!" )

The kitten usually will end up in a shelter. That's what you should do, is volunteer at your local shelter. You'll be taking on responsibility, and it's one hell of a responsiblity, at that. You'll scoop litter until your nose burns and then some, brush the cats, feed them daily, help with feeding, and help with euths. It can be so rewarding, though, and it gives you responsibility. Once your mom knows that, promise to her you'll do all those things you do there - and follow through on that promise!! Cats are not just animals you can keep food out for and maybe clean their litter box once a week. You need to dedicate at least 1.5 hours a day to your kitten; it depends on you. Promise to have the cat spayed or neutered or better yet, adopt one you have come to grow attached to in your volunteering. Think this all through. What will you do with your cat when you go to college?

aah im a cat person myself, they're soo cute arn't they? anyway to be honest i'm not too sure how to convince your parents. They figured since you had three cats and didn't take care of them, then what's the point.

The main kink in their gears is RESPONSIBILITY, cause "back in there day" they were chock full of em. Responsibility, walking in the snow, fighting bears, and coal powered cars... in a sense. Anyway by showing your parents about responsibily and the tasks you can handle then they should give you an extra shot. Hope this helps take care
