mike-sorbie answered Friday December 8 2006, 7:13 pm: use sprinting equipment!! running spikes!!! you can get them from any sports shop i use nike zooms there the lightest on the maarket right if your getting beaten you really need to build power in your legs by shuttle runs etc... with your arms you should keep them straight! forward not going towards the chest faster you move your arms faster your legs move. i do it nationally i find if you do reaction time tests on the internet you will have a better start aswel hope this helps [ mike-sorbie's advice column | Ask mike-sorbie A Question ]
krazy_lady33 answered Sunday December 3 2006, 3:40 am: uhh probably nike shocks, theyre expensive but worth it. just make sure they fit good. and the shocks help you bounce better(the SPRING of your stride). oh but if your on an inside track you might want to buy track shoes, they have spikes on them which have really good grip. Sincerly_Lisa answered Sunday December 3 2006, 2:24 am: Dear Track Runner,
I really think that you should wear sneakers. Like running shoes, perferably nike or Adidis (thats spelled wrong) and make sure you go to the "running" section of their store. They may cost a big but they're most definitly worth it because comforable shoes makes you worry less about your feet and more about your compition. Also, I suggest you buy them in you size, not 1/2 bigger or smaller, you exact size because if its too small your toes are going to be squeezed and uncomfortable and if its too big then you have a chance of tripping over them. I suggest you have your arms as if you were power walking, you know how you have them bent at a 90 degree angle in front of you, and move them back and forth. (if you have no idea what im talking about considering the arm-movements, ask someone who knows how to power walk) I hope I helped. Let me know how things turn out. Good luck!
