that sounds good... i sorta have that theme... my walls are pink (not too light not too dark) and my furniture is black its really pretty... You can also try going to target for nice accessories for your room.

You don't want your room to be boring but you don't want balloon wall paper. You could get some wall paper.Something with palm trees or something with stars, flowers or hearts.Try color schemes like green and white, pink or violet and white or light blue and violet. You can get wind chimes and water falls. You can arrange you room according to feng shui. You can search for colour therapy in google.try this URL [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
hope I helped

Go to PBTeen.com and get a catalog, or check out ideas from there.

my mom is an interior designer and she has decorated many 13 year olds rooms. i think that it would be beyond amazing if you had a royal purple and gold theme. thats how i really want my room to be lol. but it depends on what you like. you just have to look around to get really good ideas. look in Seventeen, Teen People, Girl's Life, and American Girl magazines to find really cute bedroom ideas. usually in the magazine it says where to buy all of the stuff and it's not even that expensive. look around in stores like walmart, target, jc penney, kohl's, and tj maxx and marshall's if you have those stores near you. i guarentee you that you will find really cute ideas in any one of those stores and magazines. well i wish you good luck and i hope i helped!!!!!! =) x 0 o melissa

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving! =)
