Please, please go to see your Dr. (gynocologist) you need to be examined. If you are experiencing pain with intercouse then that could be a symptom of something else going on inside your body. It is very important to tell the DR everything that you feel is pertinant to your pain. The Dr. needs to be well informed to be able to help you.
You are correct sex is supposed to be pleasurable and not painful- Absolutely!

Unfortunately just having sex is not a guarantee of having any pleasure out of it. Usually takes time with one partner before it gets enjoyable. You need to get to know each others likes and dislikes. :)
