It depends on how much pain you can take. My sister got her nose pierced and she said it didn't hurt all that much. It's like getting your ears pierced with a little bit more pain, but nothing to be scared of. I'm sure you'll be fine, because it doesn't hurt that much.

I have it done as well as cartilage and the average ear piercings.
There is a quick sharp pain due to the pressure being applied to the needle and your nose, but after 2 seconds it fades fast!
It can sting for about 3 days after if you sneeze etc. and try your best not to bang it as it's easier to become infected or probably worse, have a keloid grow.
If you aren't prepared to clean it lots or do sports, i wouldn't recommend it. It's easy for it to get knocked and it's not very pleasant!
But if you do go ahead, don't let the pain put you off. Don't forget, your eyes will water when having it done so don't let it come as a shock :)
Good luck!

Like I tell everyone, it all depends on your pain tolerance. I pierced mine myself and it hurt a little bit, but nothing that I couldnt handle. In my opinion, my cartilage didnt hurt, because they did it fast, and I got my tongue done professionally and it didnt hurt either. I'm assuming that getting your nose pierced professionally wont hurt, because they shove the needle in so fast that you cant feel it, but it all depends. If you think shots hurt, than you'll most likey think piercings hurt too. Its only for a split second though and then it goes away. =]

it hurts just a bit more than your earlobe, but less than your cartilage

you shouldnt get a peircing on the pain, get it if you want the way it looks (so if you want a nose piercing, get one --> the pain fades quickly! =]
