okay, so, here's the deal: this guy that ive known for a while might like me. he used to be my neighbor when i was little, then i moved away and went to another school, but then i started coming to the same school 3 years later, i just dont live by him anymore. well, anyway, so my friends say he likes me, but hes to shy to say it. and i like him a LOT!! he sometimes talks to me, you know, he just says something to make me laugh, or to try to impress me. he always looks at me, and when we're at school watching basketball games with our friends, every time i look at him, hes looking back at me. i think he MIGHT have a crush on me, but i dont know for sure. i just need your opinion on if you think he likes me or not.
I think you should go for it. If he's a good friend, even if he doesn't want to go out with you, he'll continue being your friend afterwards anyway. [ NewGotham's advice column | Ask NewGotham A Question ]

Just go up to him and ask him to do something with you after school. Go to the mall, get a cup of coffee just talked about when you were neighbor, watch games....etc. Then you will know him better and finger out if he/you really like each other.
