I have two guaranteed jobs; one at the bowling alley and one at the nursing home. The bowling alley would be more fun, and has the hours I want to work, but the nursing home pays better and I get to help old people. Which should I choose?
ExNOTINI answered Monday November 13 2006, 5:08 pm: hmm personally i would choose the bowling alley. Jobs are ALOT more fun when you have people to talk to and be with while your working. At a nursing home it's just like... blah. It would go by extremely slow. At a bowling alley you could have fun while you work, it would just go by. And you could always get a raise(: [ ExNOTINI's advice column | Ask ExNOTINI A Question ]

You will probably like that A LOT more than the nursing home, and a job you love is better than a job that pays good, trust me. And you said yourself, they have the hours you want, so you'll probably be working more there anyways. Not to mention, at a nursing home, unless you're an nurse, you will probably only be doing desk work, or cleaning work (YUCK!) Definitely the bowling alley =) [ Shortcake22's advice column | Ask Shortcake22 A Question ]
hOwithanE answered Monday November 13 2006, 4:57 pm: i would definitely choose a bowling alley because you will have more fun. Nursing homes arent exactly fun and it smells pretty rank in there. [ hOwithanE's advice column | Ask hOwithanE A Question ]
LM answered Monday November 13 2006, 4:27 pm: I'd choose the bowling alley. It has the hours you can work, and you'll have more fun. If you have to go around rearranging your schedule to work at the nursing home, you won't like it as much.
If you still want to help old people, you could always volunteer in your free time. Or work a couple hours when they're realllly shorthanded.

Well if you want a good pay, then definately nurseing home and that would be great because it sounds like you want to help old people. The bowling alley would be fun and have nice hours but if it barely pays then, well you would have to go with the nurseing home. My dad always says, having a job you like is nice, but you gotta be makin' some cash. I'm not positive on what he means on this ( I can barely make out what he means on most things) but I am pretty sure that he means, you gotta get good pay, but still be happy.
Hope I could help!! :)
