15/f. i've gotten my period before and it has always been a normal color (dark red). like two weeks ago i started getting heavy discharge so i put on a thin pad everyday just in case. now today i got a lot of brown stuff all over my pad. what is this? is this my period but just a funny color? and if so is that bad?

It is very good that you have been using a pad but next time this brown gets all over your pad, ask your parent/guardian and then consult a doctor. ExNOTINI answered Monday November 13 2006, 5:13 pm: Don't worry about it. It just means that your period is almost over. It gets less and once it hits the pad and stays there for a while it drys up because not that much comes out anymore. Same thing happens to me, even if it's brown and NOT dry, it's still an okey thing(: [ ExNOTINI's advice column | Ask ExNOTINI A Question ]

Honestly that doesnt sound nice..
It depends though.
If you have recently started then its still settling, but it also could be an infection.
But if your putting a pad on everyday even though its not needed it could be irritating you.
I know this is going to be hard but you need to see the doctors..
You should phone them and ask perhaps rather than going in if your not feeling up to it??
