I personally dont get many pimples, but whenever I do, they're horrible and huge! Unfortunatly its just one of those weeks and its so big that I just wanna hide from the world. Anyone have any suggestions as what to do?
Nallie answered Wednesday November 8 2006, 10:23 pm: This is actually a different kind of acne..usually called cystic acne. It's harder to get rid of those types of pimples and they have a tendency to scar. A doctor can do several things for you like prescribe medications and/or inject the pimple with cortisone which will make it go away fairly quick. For home treatment if you are able to take OTC Ibuprofen, it will help with the inflammation. The acne spot treatment dabbed on a couple of times a day will help with healing. In between times try applying an ice cube wrapped in plastic for few minutes at time to help the swelling go down. Try drinking extra water to help remove the toxins from your body too. toothpaste (not the gel kind)
or
lemon juice
only do one or the other, NOT both. both of these things will dry up the pimple really fast. but if you are willing to go buy a product then try oxy maximum with 10% benzoyl peroxide.
