okay im an athlete, but i haven't exercised in a long time because i have a chronic ankle sprain. i weighed myself today and i lost about 8-10 lbs. im guessing im losing muscle, but does that muscle turn to fat?? or does it just get smaller. any ideas or things i can do??

See a doctor. Most likeley you are losing muscle, and if you are not exercising you may be gaining fat. But if you start to lose to much weight it may not be healthy for you.

so im an athlete to with chronic knee failure. it sucks doesnt it!
but no your muscle doesnt turn to fat.. the less you exercise and build up muscle, the smaller it gets. if you cant run or do m uch with your legs, lift some weights, if you want lean flexible muscle, do a smaller amount but more reps. if you want to build the way they look use heavier weights with less reps. and make sure eating good and healthy. if you want me to help more message me about the sports you are in and i cna help more.
