what does it mean to be physically ready to have sex?

usually when a girl starts her period, she becomes physically ready. when a woman matures or hits puberty.

there is no physcically ready, its all mentally. if you feel you are ready for sure, then you are both "physically" and mentaly ready.

To be physically ready is whenever your body just.. feels like it's ready. Sometimes whenever people try to have sex, a girl's mind could be saying "I want to!" but the body feels like it's resisting. Also, some people might take it as physically ready as to when the girl's through with puberty and everything, and they're developed, etc. So it's just whenever your body feels like it wants to have sex, and your emotions tell you you're ready too.

I suppose when this is said it means that one has passed puberty and has a sexual drive and the sex organs & hormones have developed. We all know that the physical characteristics show up before one is emotionally ready.
