HE SENT ME A TEXT MESSAGE........
I have a serious crash on this guy, and I think he likes me somehow, too. But I have bf, and he has gf.
We were both at this dinner, and nothing special (romantic) happened. We chatted and laughed with other friends there. Just like always. And end of night, we hug and said goodbye to each other.
When I got into my car, I got a text message from him. There's nothing special about what the msg said, just normal "good night" msg. But he never sent me txt msg before. And I just saw him 5 mins ago. Why did he send me the message?

That could mean anything. Maybe he could like you?
That's why you ask questions. You should just ask him if you're curious about it.
But normally if he just text messages you 'good night' and he's never done that before, it could be a sign but before you make any moves, I'd ask to be sure that he does like you.

He likes you. He sent 'just a normal goodnight' message to break the ice - to see if you would be receptive to it/him.

well, he obviously had a good time, and it seems to me like maybe hes thinking about something more between you two. i culd be wrong, but thats definetely what i would take it as if i was in your shoes.
