Different animals are always scared of each other at first, i had a dog and a cat except the cat hated my dog but after a while they got used together and how you can't take them a part, give it time see what happens.

Some dogs and cats can learn to get along, others never do. Don't punish the cat or the dog, but try to distract them when they are in the same room. If the cat goes after the dog, you will have to interupt her. By constantly repeating this the cat may learn that the dog is off limits. Otherwise if this doesn't work, try not to worry about it so much, because both of them will pick up on your anxiety and make the problem worse. If you ignore the animals they may just be able to work it out on their own.
