quick!
ok, i need help before 8:30, people. if you can help me, God bless you! My mom rented out a dress that's humoungous! and i have to wear it tonight to a party at my school whether i like it or not because she said so. But, i really don't wanna wear that! please give me ideas. talking to her won't help because i already tried that. please let me know. thank you

say you've had a change of plans and say your gonna meet your mate at her house to do makeup and stuff and say your sleeping over.when you get there change into something else and a friends old dress.and because your sleeping over, she won't know you werent wearing it.The only prob is you have to wear it all the way till you reach your mates house!

This has happened to me before. What I did was just all the "baggage material", whatever you want to call it, to the side of the dress ( where your arms are ) and fold it so it lays flat ( so it's not sticking out from your dress ) and just whenever you're standing there with your arms down, you or anyone'll barely notice.
Also, just try acessorizing so that it seems less big after you pin it some. Like one person said, try wearing a cute jacket with your dress so it doesn't look as big, or maybe even wear a shawl that goes with your dres ( girls always have scarf/shawl things that look cute with their outfit )!
Or you can do the infamous "switcheroo" of the outfits. Sometimes whenever mothers do this to their daughters, the daughter'll go out wearing the dress, but bring another dress they're going to wear along instead, and whenever they get to the party or in the car, they just quickly change outfits really quick and go to the party.
And then whenever they're going to leave, they change back into their mother's dress and go back home.
The "switcheroo" thing sounds a little too complicated, and'll probably leave you with guilty feelings, so try pinning it & acessorizing it first, and see how it goes. If you're a sewer, you can try cutting some of it off, and sewing it back together, too.

Very easy solution thats flawless, just take another dress with you that you would like to wear, and from the point that you won'ts ee your mom again for the rest of the night, "change your outfit", than after the party just put the humongous one back on. Alot of regret and feeling bad for your mom might come with that but just forget about it becuase in a week itll be like i tnever happened. hope i helped

If you can, tie it up with pins, ect so it will look more fitted. YOu most likely wont be able to get out of wearing it, but I'd say you should acessorize. Maybe wear your/a friends jacket that matches over it, so it wont look as big, and you'll just be able to see the skirt part.

Try to pin it so it's not so huge. If that doesn't work just make sure you have gorgeous accessories to go with it so people will notice them insted of the dress. Or.... if you really want to u can take another dress you own or borrow a friend's dress and change in the school bathroom. Then change back when you go home. Hope I helped:) good luck!
