he says he loves me and im the only one but i see its not

Question Posted Thursday October 26 2006, 11:50 pm

Okay so im 16 and im kinda seeing this guy and we just started saying "i love you" to each other. He tells me he really means it and im the only one he says it too. But i was looking at some of the comments hes got and a girl commented him "really? i love you more" and i saw the comment he left her and it said "i love you so much" he told me they were just really good friends but they used to date. Now I dont know if he is lying to me and just making up an excuse about being really good friends or if he just said it. but i can't figure out why he would say something like that if he didn't mean it. Does anyone know what i can say to him about it?

guys are flirty, online & offline, no matter what. he was probably just telling her that he loved her as a friend, just like you probably tell guys also.

don't get too upset over this, just tell him how it made you feel & that you would prefer for him not to do this again.

I wouldn't take much offense, anything online doesn't really have much accountability - because people do and say things that they normally wouldn't in real life.

What you can say is that you are uncomfortable with him leaving comments like those - and he should respect your wishes and not continue do so...

I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. I mean this is pretty bad, but if they are friends like he claims, then you should tell him that when he says "I love you" to other girls it's not as special because you know he's off saying it to other girls. Don't be afraid to speak your mind.

If he gets all moody and acts like it's such a big deal to not be able to say he loves another girl, then you have to decide whether you can accept this or not. Personally, I'd be pretty upset and tell him he can't say it to other girls. It's not even apart of his friendships. He may care very much for his friends, but he's taking it too far. He should really care for his friends and love you.

He could just be using you...because i had the same situation only the guy i was sort of seeing went out ever weekend and fuck a ton of girls then would come home to me and be like baby your the only one i care about. So if hes anything like the guy i WAS dealing with dont bother with him find a new and better guy. Since then i did and now im happy with a boyfriend who treats me right.
