How do you feel better when you are crying? I'm kinda going through a really rough time and I'm having some sleeping problems. If it helps, the rough thing I'm going through is a break-up. We were together for about 3 years and he just ended it. So can anyone give me some tips on how to stop crying and feel better?

The more you share your emotion, the better you'll feel. If you feel anger or sadness do NOT hold in it. It explodes later on. Don't take your anger out on people though. If your close to one of your parents; talk to them about how your feeling, or if you have a really close friend. It feels really good when you know the people your closest to know how your feeling.
But I really can't imagine what your going through. 3 years?!? That must be really hard, and i'm really sorry.
Try opening yourself upto new situations. Try to get involved in clubs or organizations that you have interest in. Volunteering and giving back really makes you feel better. But feeling sad and being unable to sleep is completely normal after a break-up. This will take time to get over.
Also, if you have insomnia (sleep problems) I have really good tips for you-
-No caffiene before bed time. (4 hours before you go to bed)
-Try not to eat a lot before bedtime, because digestion might keep you up. Yogurt is actually really good before you go to bed, because its easily digested.
-none-caffinated herbal tea really relaxes you and calms you before bed time.
-Try reading in a different place besides your bed. If you had a chair or couch in your room.
-Soft music really helps.
-Try to get into a routine. Like 10PM go to sleep and wake up at 7AM, every night.
-Shower/bath before bedtime really helps.
-Make bedtime fun by lighting candles, putting lotion on,meditating, exc.
I have insomnia/depression and this has helped me a ton. :] Good luck!

Or try to get your mind off of it by doing fun things like hanging out with your friends, going shopping, and getting your nails done. Try not to think about it. Take a day to just rest, sleep late and watch movies all day. Chocolate always helps! I hope you feel better, cheer up<3 [ epicadvice's advice column | Ask epicadvice A Question ]

Meanwhile, to help yourself get over it faster, get out of the house. Don't stay indoors and start brooding over it. Go do fun stuff with your friends like shopping, eating, watching movies, playing, etc. You can go get a pet for yourself if your family doesnt mind. Their cute little faces will cheer you up =)
Keep yourself busy and try not to let your mind wander back to sad memories. SNAP out of it once you start to dwell on it to help yourself get over the breakup faster. You're only gonna depress yourself by mulling over such things. If you really can't help it, cry it out if you have to.
At night, get some of your good friends to talk to you on the phone or chat with you via hp texting till you fall asleep. I did that while I was getting over my breakup and it helped me to get over those nights.

Start focusing on yourself more and try to interest yourself in other, new things that you might've not ever tried before. It can become a new hobby, or you can even just stick with an old favorite hobby of yours you might've not done in a good while. And just go out with your friends, have alot of fun and just realize you don't need him. You can get plenty of other guys, and someday, you'll meet a guy whose x59034 times better than he is. Watch all your favorite movies, but just don't do anything that's going to cause memories of him and something you two have done together, cause that obviously won't help.
It took me awhile to get over my last ex, and believe me, I cried, I had trouble sleeping too and everything, but I just cried all I could cry until I couldn't anymore, and then when I couldn't cry anymore, I thought,"Well, now what do I do?" And so, I just got my life back on track, just without him in it. And now, I'm over him and happy.

For example, try going bowling with your friends, or even shopping [because, EVERY GIRL LOVESSS SHOPPING!] Try not to dwell on it. Remember, there are plenty of fish in the sea! =]
