ugh me too like i mean i like them but they get on my nerves try playing a board game that is a kids game that you also like, like candy land everyone likes that game. and if they win give them some type of treat like gummies or candy so they leave you alone longer or try coloring with them or watching a movie youd both like - kaylalynn

why dont you try giving them things to keep them occupied so they can have fun and you can relax, try things that they like and wont get bored with. That way they wont bug you as much and they can still have fun.

Really there is no way to make it better if you dont like them.

Well, first I have some questions you should consider:
1. What makes you hate kids?
2. Why did you decide to babysit if you feel so strongly against kids?
3. Is there something you enjoy doing that you could do instead of babysitting? (do you like to spend time at the mall? perhaps you could work there)
4. If babysitting is your only option, is there something you enjoy doing that you could adapt to include kids? (for instance, do you like to draw or paint? get the kids doing it too)
I am a teacher at heart, but I still get aggravated by kids a lot of the time. I find that giving them an outlet for their energy and creativity can keep them happily busy for a long time. One of my favorite things to do when I need my son and his friends out of my hair is to send them outside with paper, scissors (if they are old enough), pipe cleaners, crayons, and glue. They stay out for what seems like forever. To make clean up easy, get an old blanket or sheet and lay it out for them to play on. When they are done, take the sheet to the trash and shake out all the scraps. Fold it up for next time. Very easy and keeps the kids happy.

Yes - don't babysit.
Seriously, I'm not being an arse here. If you dislike kids, if they drive you nuts and you hate to watch them, putting yourself in that position anyways isn't good. If you have a temper and you hate kids, then you are running a risk by choosing to babysit. You owe yourself and the kids more.
There are other things to do other than babysit.

OK first off, what is it that you hate about kids, is it all kids? I for example hate whining and when I work with kids I tell them that when they whine my brain shuts off. Also maybe it's that you need more activities, or the particular kids you are babysitting?
At the end of the day it could also be that you just don't like kids, it happens and if this is the only way you can make money right now then you may just have to suck it up until your old enough to get a different job.
