However, I wouldn't suggest having sex while on your period, it can get a bit messy. But if that is what you want to do, I'd put down a towel just so you won't have much to clean up afterwards and it won't get everywhere. PunkieFreak4690 answered Wednesday October 11 2006, 7:34 pm: No, it does not increase your risk of getting pregnant. In fact it lowers it, however you are still at risk and pregnancy can still happen.
And as a note, if you are planning on having sex on your period, (or if already have), make sure you clean yourself before and after intercourse and your partner to do the same as well to prevent from infection.
