Melody answered Thursday October 12 2006, 5:18 pm: it's normal for the blood to be brown. when you got put on the pill, they nurse should have explained that to you. if not, now you know. the pill is supposed to make cramps hurt less, but i'm not so sure why your's are worse. the pill can be quite complex. for some, it makes the period lighter and for others, heavier. same with the duration of your period and losing or gaining weight. it has different effects on different people. who knows? maybe it just made your cramps worse for some reason.

As for your period only being 3 days, that's normal. Some girls get their period for 2 days, while some have it for a week. It just depends on the girl, since every girl is different. Now, for your period being a brownish color, that is just old blood and you have nothing to worry about. If you are still worried, though. I suggest going to the doctors.
