getting the songs back!

Question Posted Wednesday October 4 2006, 10:19 pm

For some reason, my mom restarted our computer's settings. My log-in thing is now completely new (new background, etc.). But now on iTunes, NONE of the music that I bought is there. Most of the songs that I have bought are on my iPod right now, but some aren't.

How do I get the songs that I've bought back onto iTunes without buying them again?

It IS possible to copy songs from your iPod to your computer.

Complete instructions are available on this page:

there isn't a way to get your songs back unless you already have them burned on a cd. if you don't, you only have your songs on your ipod. and you can't get the songs on your ipod back onto your itunes, sorry.

YOu could always download them via Limewire, myspace, etc. But that;s illegal and could mess up your computer.

If you reinstall iTunes and hook up your iPod, there's a "transfer purchases" option under File. It worked pretty well for me when I used it last week.

Ask your mom why she got the computer erased. Ws it something SHE did, or did she need a clean hard drive? If it's something that you didn't purposely do, ask her for an iTunes card to replace the songs you lost. Hey, it's worth a try.

:] hope I helped.

Well, there's no real way to just get them back at the drop of a hat, you'll need to download all of the ones you lost over again.

Just download Limewire and download all your music down on there and whenever you're finished, click it all and drag it over to your iTUNES and then plug in your ipod and it should update your ipod and put all the Limewire Tunes in there, and it cost you nothing at all.

I hope I helped.
