i have no idea what i did
ok well i havent seen my friend maggie in almost an entire year (she goes to a different school), and i'm going to get one of those paper things to invite her to my homecoming so we can hang out and stuff and she can meet my friends and when i told my friend alyson she was like well then im not going because you'll have her and i was just like okaayy and i kinda shrugged it off.
then she kept talking about it (alyson) and today she was like "yep im not going to homecoming" and i was like "oh" and she goes "since __ will be hanging out with __ and blank with blank and so on and youre taking maggie so whatever" and i was like "well im not taking her to homecoming with me, shes just coming alone with me, to hang out with us, and its not like i wont talk to my other friends and stuff you know?" and then she suddenly was like "i have to go. bye" and i was all quiet and then i was just like "what the hell?" and shes like i have to go. and i was like "why are you pissed? " and she goes "i'm NOT pissed" and i was like "so why do you have to leave all of a sudden then?" and she goes "cuz." and i was like "fine bye." and she hung up!!!!!!!!!
i have no idea what i did and its really pissing me off because i didnt do anything! and when i said the thing about maggie comnig and i would still hang out with other friends i wasnt even bitching it was just a "hey its nice weather out" kind of tone to my voice so i have no idea. and she was the one who kept talking about homecoming. i just dont see why. if you have any ideas? thanks and sorry its so freaking long! lol
and ps. i dont think it would matter anyway if i did talk to maggie the whole time! i havent seen her in a year and i see alyson every single day at school! gah!!!!

well explaine to alyson the situtation and tell her your not trying to replace her or anything you just thought it would be a good time to start up an old friendship and tell her you wont ignore her at homecoming and if she doesnt understand she will get over it if shes really urfiend

You need to talk to alyson and make her realise that maggie is your friend too. If she wants to be stubborn thats fine. But there is no reason for her to act the way you said she did. Reassure her that you are still her friend and tell her that maggie would really like to meet her.

seems like there is jealousy among your friends. Yep. Alyson and Maggie both need to understand your situation from both sides. You havent seen Maggie is a long long time and you want to catch up with her and talk with her. On the other hand you and Alyson will be hanging out together also. I guess they both feel the need to take a 100% of you to feel secure or something. They really need to work out issues if they have any...
But really, both of them are afraid that you're gonna ditch them for the other and they'll be left alone. Do they have AIM or MSN or whatever? Invite both Maggie and Alyson to a chat room and have a discussion. Tell them that you really want to go to the homecoming but not alone since you want your friends to be there. THat they're ruining the fun by being hard headed
