Hi. Im f/13. I am 5'7". I weigh 103. Do i need to gain? lose? are there charts that you can show me with healthy weights for girls my age? what signs (other than your lbs, coz bone size and stuff differs) show you are under or over weight? thank you.
AskAndy answered Saturday September 16 2006, 11:58 am: well imma bout ur age and ur height and i weigh about 40 pounds more than you. i am still a normal weight. your underweight for your height, so you need to gain about 20 pounds. 25 to be safe. there is no such thing as a healthy weight for your age, because people are different heights. safe thing is to not be too close to 100 pounds, and not be too close to 200 pounds either. there is not much bone difference. there is no such thing as being big boned, because were the same height, and i can guarrentee our bones are the same weight and thickness. I just have more fat than you. [ AskAndy's advice column | Ask AskAndy A Question ]

Robby001 answered Saturday September 16 2006, 4:40 am: I would diffanetly would not follow a body mass index. I would use body fat percentage, a typical girl your age should be around 16% to 20% body fat. [ Robby001's advice column | Ask Robby001 A Question ]

And if you go to the doctors office and to a dietition..they'll show you what you are suppose to be. [ leanna's advice column | Ask leanna A Question ]
