i am not lesbian nor will ever be, but one of my bestfriends is a lesbian, looks exactly like a guy. and people always mistake her for a guy.. anyways my brother always jokes me about being friends with her and says im her girfriend and jokes me about thinking im a lesbian, what can i do or say to make him shut up ?
Today me and my family went out for roast dinner and on the way kept telling my little sister we were going to pizza hut. She hates pizza and was shouting at us for winding her up. So we did the normally thing you do and kept winding her up!
I know you situation is a bit more serious then pizza but its the same thing, if she had just made a comment like "well you can eat your pizza but I'm going for roast dinner" or just not kicked up a fuzz we wouldn't have made a big deal about it *she is 8 mind you.
Short awnser- Don't let him know it bothers you and tell him its your friends descion and if he has a problem with it then he needs to sort it out. Hopefully he will soon get the message, sorry for the essay! [ ShaunyD's advice column | Ask ShaunyD A Question ]

Joking around may be his way of coping with his personal discomfort. I could quite easily be wrong - but try telling him that everyone has personal choice and he should not joke about someone elses lifestyle. Ask him to see it from your point of view and you would not demean yourself by taking cracks at one of his friends. In time he will lose interest anyway so if he does continue trying to be funny ask your parents to have a quiet word. Good luck. [ Elcee's advice column | Ask Elcee A Question ]
