Frizzy Hair

Question Posted Wednesday September 13 2006, 8:35 pm

ok i blow dry my hair every night after i get out of the shower. and in the morning i straighten it. my hair looks fine right after i straighten it but after i get to school its a mess! i get so much frizz its not even funny. ive tried almost everything on my hair. i use a anti-frizz shampoo from dove and it doesnt seem to be working. i want to buy a chi but i dont know where to get one at. does anyone know anything i can do with my hair to eliminate the frizz? any shampoos and conditioners that work really well? and hair spray or anything? PLEASE HELP!!

well the reason its doing that is because youre practically torturing your hair. it cant take that much heat so it gets frizzy. i have this leave-in conditioner from garnier fructise that works really well. its like $8 i think and its in a bright green bottle. you just squirt some on your hand and smooth it over your hair. it smooths down the frizz. it works pretty good i think.

hope i helped!

Don't blow dry your hair and let it dry on its own. This will let it be natural for the night and then straighten it in the morning like usual. If it doesn't do anything to your hair then tie your hair up until you get home.

Have you tried Friz-eaze (sp?) if not try it. Okay first off you should not be washing and blow drying your hair at night, that's just asking for a disaster trust me. I have naturally straight hair and even when I do that I wake up to a mess. your hair rubs together when you move while you're sleeping and it frays the ends. So really you should wash it in the morning, blow dry it with a round barrel hair brush, then use the straightener this works better when you do all this in the morning because your hair is freshly done and the heat from blow drying is infused into your hair which makes it more pliable and receptive to the flat iron. BUT, if you really like taking your shower at night and drying it, which I don't suggest, you should at least put it in one big braid, or even a bun. Don't leave it down or put it in a pony tail. Hope this makes sense and that it helps some, good luck.
