ive know my best friend for about three years now, he's amazing. he's jut so funny and smart and caring. i realised about three months ago that i'd fallen in love with him but i haven't told him because i don't want to spoil our friendship. he's jsut the most amazing person ive every met and i want to tell him how i feel because its eating me up inside. so how do i tell him?

Write it in a letter if you are to scared to say it out loud. Or make him promise not to freak out if you tell him something. It works for me.

Play some made-up game that could make it seem less-awkward when you tell him and also give you an "out" just in case your plan backfires and he doesn't like you back. For example:
You: Hey let's play a game. Whoever can say the cutest thing in the end wins. You go first.
Boy: uhhhh what?
You: say something cute and I'll try to think of something cuter to say
Boy: uhhh ok. Bunnies
You: I love you
Boy: I love my mommy
You: I love you
Boy: you said that twice...
You: so?
iono, that's just what I'd do. Be creative though, feel free to think of something else different; just don't throw your emotions out there expecting that he likes you back the same way because he might not.

wow! that sounds exactly like my situation back last month! it's hard to tell a person you like them because of all the "what ifs" it involves. the best thing i can say is probably just hint at it at first. be like "so is there anybody you like at school?" and kinda go from there.
i'll tell you what, i knew my best guy friend for 3 years and liked him the whole time but he never saw me as anything more which killed me. but now, after 3 almost 4 years, and bfs inbetween, he finally likes me back! only time will tell how true feelings will be revealed...just be patient

sometimes its hard to tell people stuff like that face to face, so i would write him a note or something like that.
