You could also ask people from different neighborhood if they need any yard work done .. like watering flowers or anything for a little cash. you could also just stick to chores in your own home and getting your parents to reward you in some way .. or yuh know, there's always the "lemonade stand" approach, which on hot summer days, actually brings in a lot of cash. no joke. :]
good luck and have fun ! hope i helped, xxo. [ itdependsonyoux3's advice column | Ask itdependsonyoux3 A Question ]

but to answer your question:
Im not so sure of a job for 12 year olds, but for babysitting make a flyer on microsoft word and print out a bunch. Leave them in your neighbor's mailboxes and have your mom spread the word to friends and family. also you can put an add in the paper too.
Good luck! [ xosodapopx3's advice column | Ask xosodapopx3 A Question ]

I also don't agree with a 12 year old babysitting. Sometimes parents want teens to babysit their 12 year olds, not a 12 year old babysitting their own 12 year old. That'd be weird. You also need to know a lot of things especially cause babysitting jobs are mostly dealing with young children. I don't think you should babysit.

Trust me people are always looking for people to watch their kids when they get in a jam and hopefully after you babysit for people one time they will continue to have you babysit more and reccommend you to their friends!
