Exercising

Question Posted Friday September 1 2006, 9:37 am

Hi, I was wondering what quick and cheap (no buying porducts or videos) way to lose fat in the abdomen, thighs, and calves [sp?] School starts on the 5th and I know that I won't see much results by then but I want to lose as much weight. I'v already lost about 4.5lbs in a month so I know that I can do it. Also what are great exercises (other than crunches) for toning your abs? I would also like to strengthen my arms. I have like no arm strenght...at all. =) I won't give you guys 1's for not answering all the questions. I'm just hoping that all my questions will be answered by 1 or more people =] Thanks

There is no specific exercise that can target fat in your abdomen, thighs, calves, or anywhere else. As you lose fat, your body will naturally lose it from certain places based on your own genetic makeup. Basically, spot-trimming is impossible. Any aerobic exercise combined with proper diet (cliche, I know) will help you lose fat. For quality exercise information, check out [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

hey, i play volleyball so I know a TON of excersising things. ok so for your stomach, sure you can do crunches.. but what also works is something called 'THE BOAT' and thats when you lay on your back and bring your legs, arms, head and back up, so the only thing touching the floor is your tail bone/ butt bone. get it?? leave it like that for about 1 minute and repeat as many times neccesary. for thighs- wall sits... its like you're sitting on an invisible chair with your back against the wall. your legs and thighs must be 90 degrees. for calves- i dont know but heres a link that shows

and last but not least for your arms- lift weights and do push-ups. Do all of the excersises and you should be able to lose a few pounds!

I hope I helped!
