Just before you go to talk to him face-to-face take calming breaths and it's okay to be a little nervous, he might even find it cute and just ask him whats up, how was his summer, is he in school yet, how is it, [ or if he isn't in school yet ] is he anxious to start going soon?, etc. And just ask him what his interests are and stuff cause it'll show you're interested in wanting to get to know him better and you're a good listener. I hope I helped. <3 [ MelLeDisko's advice column | Ask MelLeDisko A Question ]

Or You could just start out with small talk like hey whats up? and then genrally try and get to know him better. Before you talk to hm take a deep breathe and relax, just be yourself . Hope i hlped <33 [ KaylaLeanNe's advice column | Ask KaylaLeanNe A Question ]
