Too much thinking can definitely cause restlessness.
I don't think it's a sleep disorder, it's just too much on your mind that needs to be released.
Sleeping pills work okay, but sometimes they take long.
They're also good because they don't need a prescription, but just make sure not to use them too frequently or you'll become dependent.

Hope I helped.

well what you have to try is just settling down, (and I know it's hard) but try to think of just nothing, and tell youself, "ok, I'll just think about that stuff tomorrow" I mean then you would get to sleep faster

Hi,

I have a similar problem. Thinking = not sleeping...
For me, cooling myself down works wonderfully;
Try taking a cool shower (as cold as is comfortable). Don't dry your hair thoroughly, so it cools you down more. Ice-cubes are convenient too. I ice my wrists, and run it down my arms (because I figure it's the fastest way to take the most heat out), and I also melt a few in my my mouth.
Make sure your bed isn't too hot.
[You don't need to make yourself Cold, just give yourself a hand cooling down to the temperature that your body might usually fall to when you sleep]
I guess this might be different for different people.

Hope it works
-K

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!
well if you have a tv in your room try watching tv for 15-30 minutes(put it on sleep timer if you have it) and most likely you will call asleep.

another way is listen to the radio on and whidper/sing to all the songs and you kind of drift away.

and dont think about going to sleep, it makes it harder

good luck, hope i helped
