Cousins tend to have issues like this.. ignoring each other when the other experiences something that the other has or hasn't experienced..
If your cousin is already in Junior High.. then she probably is ignoring you because she (or he.. sorry I'm just assuming it's a girl) feels that you are bragging or acting like you know all about junior high.. This is completely normal.. and the only way to fix her ignoring of you is to talk to her and tell her that you don't understand why she is ignoring you...
If your cousin isn't already in junior high.. then she is most likely jealous of you because you are older and get to experience it first..
Again, this is completely normal and it's no surprise that she would feel this way..
Again (sorry I kinda said that twice), you need to talk to her and ask her why she is ignoring you.. and if she is jealous of you.. make sure to tell her that she'll be in junior high soon enough..
MelLeDisko answered Wednesday August 30 2006, 12:15 pm: Well, you weren't kind of specific as of possibly why she's been ignoring you, what does she say when you try to talk to her, what grades she in [maybe she's jealous cause you're in a different school or she misses you] etc. So I'll try my best to answer this.
Just try and talk to her. Be like,"___, I've been noticing lately that ever since I went to the Jr. High you've sort of been ignoring me, and I'm wondering why? I mean, you're my favorite person in the whole wide world and I really miss talking to you." [ or something like that ] and just ask her whats up.
Or, she might not be really ignoring you. It's just whenever school happens, you're there like, half the day, and then you get home, then you eat dinner, and then you got all that homework to do, and then you got to shower, etc. It can take away some serious talking time with friends unless you do it all quickly, so maybe she's just been gettin g alot of homework or something.

Maybe something you've done/said.. Do you think your cousin has any reason to be jealous? There's also the fact you could be reading into this a little too deep. Are you certain you cousin is ignoring you?
I'm sorry, but there's not much I can do to offer. You should definitely talk to your cousin though. Ask why you haven't been talking as much. Don't worrry about it.. It's best to sort things out together. and then you will know if you've done anything wrong and be able to make it up to him/her.
I hope things work out with you both. :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

Maybe you should call her or leave her a message on myspace or go to her house, or any way you could contact her and tell her that you feel you guys haven't been seeing eachother as much. If shes already started school she might be busy doing homework or trying to get used to the school schedule. Or maybe shes just been doing a lot of things lately and hasn't had time to talk to her friends. Just simply ask her and she'll tell you. It's probably not because shes mad at you, maybe theres something going on right now. The only way you can find out for sure is to talk to her.
