My bestfriend is starting to get annoying she won`t stop bugging me. I come up with excuse so I don`t hurt her feelings but don`t get me wrong she is my bestfriend and I love her but just I don`t wan`t to hang out with her every single day. do you get my drift. But how do I let her down easy by telling her I don`t wanna chill everyday with you without being harsh
MelLeDisko answered Wednesday August 30 2006, 12:57 pm: Gah, I once had this same problem. Haha, first of all, don't go telling other people about this problem, cause they just might tell her, and then WHOO. Your friend gets mmmmmmmaaaddd, haha.[ learned from experience ]
So whenever she calls you to hang out, if you're going out with other friends, just be like,"I'm sorry, I already made plans for tonight. Maybe we can hang out tommorrow?" Or if you don't have plans for that night, just be like,"I'm sorry, I'd love to be I really just want to realx around the house for a bit. And I got some homework to do anyways. I'm sorry." And if she gets upset, you just need to talk about it with her. Just be like,"____, I love you, you're my best friend and you know that, but sometimes I just want to relax at home and be by myself, you know? I'm not saying I hate hanging out with you or anything, don't get me wrong. It's just sometimes I just need a break from people and just to hang out in my room, so if I ever can't hang out with you, please don't get upset." [ or something like that ]

What i did was i just started hanging out with other people, but still inviting her to come with us. She hung out with us at first, then found other friends. We still talk but are not best friends anymore. Well, leave a thing in my inbox and tell me how it goes!!!! [ pinkers's advice column | Ask pinkers A Question ]
