what's wrong with it
i really didn't know what cagtagory to put this in but...
whats wrong with using all capital letters. why could you be banned if you do it. i just wanna know whats so bad about it

All the answers you have been given are correct. With the exception of whoever said you aren't banned for it.
Most of us try to warn someone about it before banning them. Most of the time the person just didn't read the FAQ where it explains just some of the reasons a person can be banned on the site. So, if you are warned and you continue to use all caps
you will indeed be banned. You can be banned without warning too because by rights the FAQ should have been read.
The reason is because it is yelling. We try to keep things polite around here so yelling a question just isn't nice. Capitalising a word or two for emphasis is not a problem so long as the whole question isn't in caps.
There is also no need to answer someones question
by yelling at them. Regardless of how stupid a question may seem to you...don't yell at them.
It is basically just a matter of having respect for your fellow users. :)

all caps on the internet is the same as yelling in person. so it looks like you're yelling the question. besides that, it's hard to read, nobody wants to read all caps, and it's uber annoying.

you wouldnt get banned, your question would get deleted, because when you write in all-caps, it seems like your yelling the question. if you did it enough times, you could probably get banned, but mnormally all they do is delete it

It's nothing more than manners, but capital letters on the internet is considered the equivalent of shouting. Capitalising an entire word or two is usually okay (though I don't know for this site), because it'll be understood as emphasising something.
However, typing entire sentences or even posts in capitals is bad form. It just comes across as shouting or excessive rudeness; either that, or it's a "LOOK AT ME!!!" type of attention-seeking.

from experience at this, typing in all caps is considered, yelling. or a harsh tone, not respectful.it's considered rude, which i don't much get either, but that's basically what i was told when banned for it.
