Question Posted Tuesday August 22 2006, 5:41 pm

hi, i have a cockatiel and was wandering what that cockatiel training cd on the market is all about. it says it teaches your bird to whistle tunes and talk, but costs $25 or so. does anyone know what it has in it, like are people talking or birds, because instead of buying 1 i was thinking of just making one by myself. thanx in advance

You should definately make one yourself! I have a cockatiel and that's actually exactly what I did! I whistled things I wanted him to learn and played it for him when we left the house! He is a very smart bird and has learned a few short tunes.

All it took was recording the sayings on my computer, burning the cd, and putting it in the cd player on repeat! It's very simple and this way you can have your bird hear your voice even while you're gone! :)
