i dont think that girls should ask guys out. keep talking and flirting and being all sweet then wait for him to ask you out. then say yes. cus he might not like you that way. and if you ask him out, he might think your desperate. im not saying you are, im just saying. also, it depends on if you are in 2 different schools. that wouldnt be so good. but the same school, youll see eachother more often. i hope i helped!

Although 2 years might seem like a lot- it really isn't.. Now it might seem awkward, but if you ended up together (like married).. two years wouldn't make a difference at all. If you really like each other.. that's all that should matter...
The average married couple is four years apart.. so...
You should ask him out- take the risk...
