Cut then Dye or Dye then Cut? I am getting my hair cut and styled at a salon next week. I also want to dye my hair from a home kit.
Should I dye my hair, and then a few days later go to the salon for the cut, or should I go to the salon for the cut, and a few days later dye it at home?
Which is best, and what risks would I run if I don't do this properly - if any?

You'll have to dye your hair first before getting it cut..IF you're getting your hair dyed the same day as the cut. If not, the order doesn't matter. ]
I guess you could look at it as a *waste of dye* but sometimes, the dye will damage the ends of your hair. So, if you dye your hair then cut it, any damage that happens will be cut so it's better. At the salons, if you go in for both, they always dye first. ]
I asked my mom because she used to do it all the time. She said it doesnt matter which one you decide to do.
If you usually take two bottles of dye to get all your hair dyed then cutting it may cause you to use only one bottle. If thats the situation then yes you should cut it first. But if you usually only use One bottle of dye. then You can do it either way.
Hope this helps'
